Who Can Play

Snooker welcomes players aged 15 and older. Beginners are encouraged, with Section Head Charles Davies available to guide newcomers on rules, etiquette, and techniques. Our current community consists of 5-7 regular players, and with planned improvements, we aim to expand membership. This activity suits both casual players and those seeking more serious practice in a friendly setting.

Play Times & Competitions

• Games are arranged via the Snooker WhatsApp group, offering flexible times.
• Practice sessions are informal, and the door is always open.
• Internal competitions are hosted in Sabie where conditions allow for optimal play.
• Members participate in six regional inter-club events annually across Sabie and Pretoria, providing competitive opportunities for committed players.

Facilities & Equipment

• One full-size snooker table with cues, chalk, rests, and balls.
• Pool is also available for alternative gameplay.
• Club equipment is accessible for beginners, though many members bring personal cues.
• Future plans include expanding the snooker room by 1.4m to better meet standard playing conditions and enhance gameplay.
